What Mullsifter keeps
No accounts, no cookies, no ads.
In your browser
Your decks, settings, the hands you shared, the name you vote under and a random voter id are saved in this browser's local storage. An imported deck you haven't saved yet sits in session storage until you save it or close the tab. None of this is a cookie or a tracker: it exists so the app can do what you ask, and it never leaves your browser except inside the request that needs it.
To remove it, delete your decks in the app or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
On our server
Dealing and grading hands runs on our server. Each request carries the deck it needs; the server answers and keeps nothing about you. It holds your IP address in memory for a short while to limit how many requests one visitor can make, and does not write it down.
Shared hands are the exception. When you share a hand, we store the hand, the deck's name and commanders, and any note you add. When you vote on one, we store your vote, the name you entered, your optional reason and your random voter id. Votes cast from Discord or Slack are stored with that platform's user id and display name. Shared hands are kept so their links keep working. Email us with the link and we'll delete a hand or your vote on it.
Our host, Railway, may keep standard request logs, including IP addresses, for operating and securing the service.
Visitor counts
We count visits with Umami, which runs on our own server at umami.parap.ly. It records which pages are viewed, the referring site, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and your rough location (country, region and city). It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Your IP address is used only to work out that location and an anonymous visitor id that changes each month, and is not stored. We use these counts to see how the site is used, and share them with no one.
Other services
- Card images load straight from Scryfall, so your browser sends them your IP address, as it would to any website.
- When you import a deck by link, our server fetches it from Moxfield or Archidekt. When you look for combos, our server sends the decklist to Commander Spellbook. Your IP address is not passed on.
